Picnic
Dates Announced
The annual PSSA Picnic
and Enumclaw Nationals Soaring
Championship will occur Saturday, August 28th at Bergseth. PSSA as
always will provide hot dogs, burgers, condiments, nonalcoholic
.beverages and tableware. Mebers are asked to bring their favorite
dish, snack, desert, etc.
Contest tasks and scoring
will be completely subjective with
complete disregard toward any actual pilot accomplishments and
therefore cheating, bribery and other nefarious means for winning are
strongly encouraged.

New
picture publishing
applicationup and running and working well.
A new picture publishing
application called Coppermine
has been installed replacing the
Gallery application, which was not working properly for all members.
The new application has a cleaner interface and is easier to navigate.
I'm now happy to report
that several members have uploaded
photos (you can upload video too if you like) and the site is gaining
in popularity. This can only mean it actually is working and not
crashing like the previous site did.

An Excel extract from the
PSSA flight log database is available to members to review in the
Members
area under Board activities. The data will be updated ~every two months.

Borgelt
B50 Manual Posted
The instruction manual
for the Borgelt B50 Super Vario has been made available under the training
section of the site. This is the variometer installed in the PW-5,
which has much more to offer than simply
indicating lift or sink.
